What is ART OF WAR®?
ART OF WAR® is a Japanese art brand developed by Kenshin Co., Ltd.
Established in 1997, it has focused on product development centered around the theme of "battle" since its inception.
We don’t make products simply to be sold; we create works-of-art that will last one hundred years.

ART OF WAR, takes its inspiration from the title of the classic Chinese treatise, ”Art of War” by Sun Tzu.
The brand concept is based on the idea that universal beauty exists in the struggle between life and death.
We avoid easy routes-to-market by ignoring short-term trends and focus instead on developing products that are sustainable over the long-term.

We handle planning, production, and sales of items such as statues, accessories, and traditional crafts.
Our statues, in particular, boast nearly 20 years of production experience and world-class quality.
We conduct equally thorough research and verification into Japanese culture, history, and art, pouring our efforts into developing Japan's unique sculptural beauty.

Furthermore, we develop products with a deep understanding of the original creators' vision and the worldview of their works. Our president often talked with Mr. Miura during his lifetime, the original creator of Berserk.
Therefore, we create Berserk statues with a particularly profound understanding.

About Product

Where are your products made?
Statues are crafted at our workshop in China, while accessories are made in Japan.
With few exceptions, most items are handcrafted by artisans.

For the statue production workshop, we handle everything from hiring to training. A Japanese supervisor oversees production guidance and conducts strict quality checks.
We employ skilled artisans in each department, and our products are crafted using their high level of technical expertise.

We take care down to the smallest details, such as using Japanese-made brushes for painting.

What are made-to-order items and pre-orders?
This refers to a production method where items are made upon receiving an order from a customer.
Unlike stock items, production does not occur in advance.

Our statues are fundamentally made-to-order.
We accept customer orders after they view samples (images) we have produced.
Additionally, orders have a deadline and a limited production quantity.

We are highly regarded for our ability to produce finished products with quality nearly identical to, or even surpassing, the samples.

Furthermore, as each piece is handcrafted by artisans, please allow approximately 4 to 6 months for production.
Once production is complete, we will notify you by email.
*This may vary depending on workshop conditions.

Why do you set a limited quantity?
We create statues as works of art.
Moreover, since each of our products is handcrafted by artisans, our production capacity is limited.

We believe the value of art lies not only in its high quality but also in its rarity.
Works created in limited quantities during a restricted order period.
We want customers who acquire ART OF WAR products to experience both the quality and value of the item.

Therefore, as a brand philosophy, we avoid mass production and mass consumption.

I think the your statue's product are expensive.
There are several reasons for this.
1) Polystone is used for almost all of the product's materials.
Polystone is a material made by mixing resin and stone powder, giving it a stone-like texture. Unlike materials such as PVC, it possesses a sense of luxury and robustness. Therefore, it is expensive.
Additionally, the price of this raw material has been rising year after year.

>>Why do we use this?
We create our statues as works of art. Polystone is a material also used in artistic sculptures. It also allows for the expression of delicate details like fine spikes or thin capes.
Since we develop our products as artworks, we use materials employed in art.

2) Handcrafted by Skilled Artisans
The original prototype is handcrafted by Japanese artisans.
While our production workshop is in China, production there is also done by hand. Most production processes—molding, painting, assembly—rely on the skilled handwork of artisans.
We use handcrafting because machine production makes it nearly impossible to reproduce such delicate forms.

3) Product development takes several years.
Unlike ordinary products, developing items as artworks demands not only thematic depth but also flawless sculptural beauty from every angle.
Consequently, even creating the prototype requires numerous revisions.
Regarding the theme of each piece, we delve deeply into it for every work, connecting it to a single product plan after careful consideration. To create high-quality pieces, development demands significant time and cost in every aspect.
Behind the release of a single product lies a great deal of unseen effort and cost.

We sincerely appreciate your understanding that the current product price is the absolute minimum required
to maintain high quality and continue production.
