To commemorate 20th Anniversary of ART OF WAR, New Series “For Honor Statue-Kensei” is released

The First Series, Kensei

The Kensei all aspire to be living incarnations of Bushido, the Samurai “way of the warrior”.
He is ready to die for their emperor and for their fellow Samurai. The masters of the martial arts, the kensei fights with a deadliest blade of about 60 cm (a big scale) with the detailed armor costumes.

The armor of Kensei is reproduced on the base of big armors (armor worn by the senior samurai of the Kamakura Period) has been attractively arranged as a fantasy product. We have reproduce the product carefully to bring the texture of Japanese armor with a great combination of iron and wood, lacquer, leather, silk etc. in a real imagining form.

In order to bring the texture in the battle surcoat, it has been reproduced bringing the shape of real battle surcoat.
To show the traces of many battle, wounds caused by sword, damage, dirt is applied to the whole body by the terrible attack by samurai “Nodachi sword”.

While looking at Kensei from the front side, it feels like he is quite nervous as if he is confronting the battle.

*The sword is quite longer, which is used to pretend to kill the opponent from the back side while riding on a horse.
The sword seems to be not suitable for long pratice, only for hand to hand battle. However, Kensei is brilliantly mastering.

Product Overview

The Skull Knight Bust is a fully JAPAN MADE creation.
From development to casting and finishing, every step is carried out in Japan by skilled artisans.

Following the first release in 2024, this edition returns as a special Red Eye version, featuring garnet stones set into the skull’s eyes.
The detachable silver head transforms into a wearable ring, allowing the piece to be appreciated both as sculpture and as jewelry.

Craftsmanship

This work is the result of traditional Japanese metal casting techniques combined with meticulous hand craftsmanship.
The spikes along the shoulders and neck are individually cast and soldered by hand, one by one. Even at close range, the joints are nearly invisible, demonstrating the extraordinary precision of Japanese artisans.

From the subtle texture of the cloak to the intricate skeletal structure, the piece achieves a level of detail rarely seen in metal sculpture.
The result is a work that reflects the unmistakable character of JAPAN MADE craftsmanship.

Concept

The skull has long been recognized as a symbol not only of death, but also of rebirth.
By placing garnet stones within the skull’s eyes, the sculpture introduces a quiet presence of life within the imagery of mortality---expressing renewal through the coexistence of life and death.

The work also carries another theme: the decline and revival of Japanese craftsmanship.
For centuries, Japan has nurtured extraordinary artisanal traditions. Yet today many of these skills face disappearance due to an aging workforce and a shortage of successors.
Metal casting is among those endangered crafts

This sculpture was created as a way to preserve and celebrate those techniques---transforming traditional craftsmanship into a work of art meant to endure for generations.

Materials

The skull is crafted from Silver 925, while the base---representing the body---is made from pewter, a traditional tin-based alloy used for centuries.
By combining different metals, the sculpture highlights the distinctive textures and character of each material.
The cloak is intentionally left unpolished, preserving the natural surface of the metal and emphasizing its raw presence.

Pewter is less prone to oxidation than silver, allowing the sculpture to retain its character over time. The silver itself will gradually develop a natural patina, which may be appreciated as part of the work’s evolving expression.

The inside of the ring features a rose engraving.

Legacy

In recent years, the global demand for mineral resources has increased significantly, making it increasingly difficult to secure pure metal materials.
As a result, sculptures created entirely from precious metals using traditional craftsmanship may become increasingly rare.
Much like the gold and jeweled artifacts of ancient civilizations---objects whose richness now seem unimaginable---works such as this may one day stand as rare examples of a time when artistry and material were pursued without compromise.

Famous Samurai Feudal Lord Sculptures - ODA NOBUNAGA  1/4 scale 

Oda Nobunaga, the most well-known samurai general of the Sengoku Period swept the whole of Japan with his brand new thinking and bold military tactics.
He was the one who helped in the unification of Japan.

Nobunaga was a man of plasticity who adopted the Western culture before anyone else.
The best example is that Nobunaga was one of the earliest people in the world who possessed a large number of guns for having realized their power.
Being filled with ambition to integrate dominions of Japan into a whole country with the help of gun's power, Nobunaga has been described as a talent meanwhile a maniac as well.

Oda Nobunaga was a genius person who brought Japan in a turning point with his leadership skills.
He brought leadership skills to Japan for more than 400 years ago. Even the modern people in Japan get attracted to him.
In modern era, Oda Nobunaga will be the perfect leadership person to remove the violent of the modern era.

Nanban Kabuto Armor

During the Sengoku Period time, southern European traders visiting Japan gave their hosts samples of Spanish and Portuguese armor.
Japanese armor makers incorporated features from the European armor, and then went on to develop improved designs that included innovative features such as high quality metal protection plating.
This high-quality armor was duly named Nanban Kabuto – Nanban being a reference to Southern Europeans - and was worn only by the high ranking samurai generals in the Senkoku Period.
The quality of the armor was representative of the high status of the samurai generals.

[Modeling Production] Kensin Co. Ltd's modeling workshop

It was founded in 1997 as a professional three dimensional modeling.
In order to make the highly reputed and faithful production of historical figure of Sengoku Period, all these work is based on the historical research.

All the three dimensional sculpture of Sengoku Period (Oda Nobunaga) is made especially for the future generations.In order to make a documentary of the history of armor,
the reproduction of Oda Nobunaga is the first step to make the documents of the history.

Production Details

	"Insertion of Barbarian armor’s face guard" The Barbarian armor is made up of thick metal plate which did not have joints and was unable to make in the warring state period by the armor’s technology in Japan.
	“Nobunaga’s expression” The real look of the inner and hidden part of (Oda Nobunaga)’s full expression is reproduced with more elaboration.
	"An elaboration of thin chain details" The armor was made very perfectly and the finishing details of the modeling are prepared in a very high quality. More than the appearance of gun, the armor was made making the movement of freedom. All the materials such as iron, cloth, leather, texture of armors and various parts are faithfully reproduced.
	“The Matchlock gun” This gun is hold by Oda Nobunaga in Senkoku period during the battle. He carried this gun to fight in the battle and defeat the Takeda armies. In the Sengoku Period, Oda Nobunaga encouraged people earlier than anyone else to produce guns in large quantities. As a result, the Oda Nobunaga’s army defeated the Takeda army in the Battle of Nagashino． The matchlock gun which is hold by Nobunaga is reproduced precisely like a real one.

Technique of kneading wood

Through this wood kneading technique, the significance of color and texture was added as a lacquer.
In the material, there is a special combination of wood and it is mixed up.
Due to this, it not only helps to bring the color but also helps in bringing the natural and tasteful color and shades like the iron rust.
Also, the layers made by polishing also originate the shiny in the armor.
The molding, assembling and the finishing touch of the whole process is done by hand by the craftsman.
Due to the more effort and time spent by the craftsman in reproduction, the clear profundity can be seen in this item.

The material is called polystone, which is quite close to the hard object (stone). Due to the repeat of
adding polystone, the quality of metal can be reproduced.

In order to bring the texture in the armor, it is polished. In order to tie the string, one production time takes almost more than 30 hours.
This shows our craftsman put much effort and in reproduction process.
In the production, all the work is done by hand by craftsman.

All the coloring and decoration is done by the skillful craftsman one by one by hand.

Mantle; White pigment finishing

In order to bring the texture like the cloth in the mantle, the finish up is done by the white pigmentation in the surface.
The mantle brings the expression of the cloth fluttering in the windThe white pigmentation is the traditional material in which shell’s clam is crumbled and made powder which can be dissolved easily.
In the production of Japanese dolls, these kinds of materials are used in the production.

The coloring of the mantle is felt like it will be reserved in eyes for a very long time.
The appreciation of more than ten years is also not tiresome.
This item is able to keep in the room for decoration. 

Development and Co-operation for Oda Nobunaga

Artist-Unnou Souhaku

Born in 1962.

Since 1990,
He started to research and focus on the production of the original armors creation, helmets, kimono, own production of lacquerware from the time of “Azuchi Momoyama Period” and “Sengoku Period” of Japan.

In 1997,
Unnou Souhaku requested “Mr. Hiromichi Miura”, to develop the 1/4 scale real armor of “Samurai Warrior – Oda Nobunaga”, who is the only person associated with the preservation of Japanese helmets and armor in Japan.

Continuosly, there was development of other real armors of 1/4 scale of Samurai Warriors of “Sanada Yukimura” & “Uesugi Kensin”.
Under the watchful eye of artist and creative producer, Unno Souhaku, many professionals engaged in developing high accolades for its authentic reproduction of Sengoku period statues based on historical documents from the time.
The final result is a product made of the highest quality.

Guts the Dog Pendant (Standard Version)

From among the accessories sold exclusively at the Great Berserk Exhibition, the popular "Guts the Dog Pendant" is now available as a standard version on the web!

This is the first "Guts Dog" motif accessory in ART OF WAR.
Guts' feelings for Casca and his loneliness are expressed in the work with a melancholy dog that is symmetrical to the wolf of the mad warrior.
Each scratch is carefully handcrafted by Japanese artisans to create a high-quality original work of art.

In the limited edition, a diamond was inlaid in the left eye of Guts Dog, but in this standard edition,
the stone has been removed and the price has been changed to a more affordable one.

In addition, this time, customers can choose from two types with different finishes: "metal black" and "matte black.
*The price of "Metal Black" is higher because of the additional scratch processing of the tagane at the end of the painting process.

A small but firm branding mark is engraved on the neck of the dog.
Guts' claws and the protruding parts of his collar are polished to create a difference in texture from the glossy black of the main body.
The forming of "Guts Dog" is a fusion of the muscular body of Guts (human) and the unique skeletal structure of a dog, which we paid particular attention to create.

The chain, made of a rugged material, is designed to resemble a chain connected to Guts' collar.
The chain can be adjusted to two different lengths.

Matte black has a subdued texture.
Metal black is shiny and reflects light, making it look very glamorous.
On the other hand, matte black has a calm and subdued look, and will suit mature coordination and display.

The black smoked finish may turn white due to the effects of light (sunlight, fluorescent light, etc.) and aging.
Polishing with silver polish will restore the original smoked color.

This work depicts the harsh journey of Guts and Casca in sculptural form.
Following the Eclipse, Guts carries his former lover Casca — who has lost her sense of self and can no longer walk steadily — as he desperately pushes forward along a freezing, snow-covered road.

Branded with the Mark of Sacrifice, the two are relentlessly attacked day and night by monsters and evil spirits.
As Guts fights to protect Casca despite his growing injuries, they continue their painful journey onward.
Though they walk side by side, their gazes will never meet.

After the Feast of the Eclipse, Guts could only cope with the shock by channeling it into rage and hatred, finding solace only in battle.
Unable to bear it all, Casca could only protect her heart by losing her memories and her self.
Having lost precious comrades before their eyes, lost their home in the Band of the Hawk, and survived even after being branded as sacrifices, only a nightmare-like reality remained for them.

Guts left Casca behind to embark on his journey of vengeance, but when he returned, Casca had gone missing. He regretted not having stayed by her side.
Tormented by guilt over repeating the same mistake, Guts's regret over leaving the Band of the Hawk of his own accord and the loss of comrades to the Eclipse weighted heavily on him.
For Guts, who had lived without family or comrades, relying only on his sword, the Band of the Hawk was the first place he had ever truly belongs.
Casca was someone he had connected with deeply, the only comrade who survived the Eclipse. Guts realized anew that he had nearly lost such a precious person once more.

Never again would he lose her. Having retrieved Casca from the Tower of Conviction, Guts resolved this in his heart and set out for the Elfhelm to restore her memories and to ensure safety.
This time, not alone, but with Casca by his side. Many hardships awaited the two who set out thus. Enduring relentless snowfall, Guts cut down approaching threats continuing to slay enemies even through sleepless nights.

This "Winter Journey" marked one of the turning points. The sword he once wielded for himself, he now wielded to protect someone precious. If he died, Casca would die too. For Guts, who had fought as if testing his own life until now, this was also a trial.
Restricting Casca's freedom as she trembled and rejected Guts fighting like a madman, he felt a trace of unease. Still, there was no choice but to press on.
Alongside Guts' mental growth, his humanity and anguish possess a certain appeal.

While Berserk captivates with themes like the "Berserker" and the "Black Swordsman" that Guts fights against with reckless abandon, we believe portraying the protagonist (Guts)'s human psyche is also a crucial theme, which is why we took on this work.
It lacks flashiness, yet strangely, you find yourself wanting to see where these two end up.
Within the grand narrative of Berserk, this is a precious scene offering a glimpse into Guts's growth and inner world.

This work expresses the unbridgeable emotional divide between them through a single, powerful exchange of gazes.

■ Contrast through color

Contrast is also expressed through coloration, particularly in the difference between Guts’ armor and Casca’s fabric garments.
The armor incorporates the paintwork of Guts Requiem Kai.
The armor, possesses a realism that suggests it was forged from real metal.
This level of authenticity is only achievable because ART OF WAR actively engages in armor research and restoration projects, giving the team an intimate understanding of genuine materials.
Although the statue itself is fully crafted from polystone, the clear distinction in surface texture relies not only on sculpting but especially on painting.

The fact that the difference between iron [armor] and cloth is felt so vividly within a single work reflects ART OF WAR’s identity as an art brand and its position at the highest level of statue craftsmanship.
From its founding, the company has approached statue production not simply as licensed character figures, but as fine art — infusing each work with Japanese aesthetic sensibilities and expertise to create a distinctive sculptural language of its own.

■ About the Blood Painting of the Dragon Slayer

This work was painted while imagining the context surrounding the original scenes.
In the original story, he mainly slays ghosts [evil spirits].
However, when imagining a realistic journey, it's natural to assume encounters with other monsters and bandit attacks during this harsh.
We imagine Guts has fought off these foes along the way.
However, since this is different from when he has slain numerous monsters, the blood paint is restrained.

■ Deepening the winter, their footprints...

Originally released in 2015 and quietly gaining a devoted following among fans, Winter Journey now returns as ART OF WAR’s final release of 2025 — at the height of the winter season.
Unlike the original edition, this release features a specially applied snow finish, created to deepen the thematic impact of Winter Journey.
Snow has settled onto the faces and clothing of Guts and Casca as they walk through falling flurries, intensifying the sense of biting cold.　Snow can be seen in important scenes in the original, such as the duel between Guts and Griffith and the encounter between Zodd and Guts.
Some of the snow has begun to harden — just how far have they already travelled?

This is a high-quality traditional craft product that utilizes the techniques of Yamanaka-nuri,

Oda Nobunaga, the most well-known general of the Warring State Period, swept the whole country of Japan with his brand new thinking and bold tactics.

Nobunaga was a man of plasticity who adopted the Western culture before anyone else. The best example is that Nobunaga was one of the earliest people in the world who possessed a large number of guns for having realized their power.

Being filled with ambition to integrate dominions of Japan into a whole country with the help of gun's power, Nobunaga has been described as a talent meanwhile a maniac as well.

This statue of Nobunaga is dressed in his favorite Nanban Kabuto. To represent the unique sense of beauty of the Warring State Period, colors of black, red and golden have been partially added to the works. On the horse back, you can find a matchlock, which was the latest weapon at the Warring State Period. Most efforts have been made to recreate the cold expression of the man who called himself God, paying no attention to even the Imperial Court. Besides, special efforts also have been made to represent minute parts such as Kusazuri (thigh protector) and Douate in details. Coming up with the matchlock, even the mechanism inside has been represented same as that of a real gun. This new release of Oda Nobunaga is released with a new base. The statue of the height 20 cm shows the Oda Nobunaga, sitting atop his horse as the lead general. The special attention has given to the base part as there is use of different kinds of textures of stone.

When Naomasa was born, the head of the Ii clan and its members were falling one after another to battle deaths and assassinations, and the clan was on the verge of being driven to extinction by the Imagawa clan.
With no capable male heirs in the Ii family, the young Naomasa (Tora-matsu) barely survived under the protection of his mother and the female lord (Naotora). At the age of fifteen, when the survival of the Ii clan hung by a thread, Naomasa had a fateful encounter with Tokugawa Ieyasu during a falconry outing.

Despite losing his father and enduring harsh circumstances, Naomasa never neglected his martial arts training. Immediately after being taken into Ieyasu's service, he distinguished himself,
achieving remarkable feats on numerous battlefields and in diplomacy. His fief, initially 300 koku, grew to 40,000 koku by age 22. Despite being an outsider among Mikawa warriors,
he rose to prominence, counted among the “Four Heavenly Kings of Tokugawa” alongside Sakai Tadatsugu, Honda Tadakatsu, and Sakakibara Yasumasa.
Naomasa devoted his life to supporting Tokugawa Ieyasu until his death at age 42.
The prestigious Ii clan, which produced five grand elders during the Edo period, was truly built by Naomasa.

Shuurushi Coated Body Armor

This piece is crafted using the red-lacquered armor traditionally believed to have been worn by the first Ii Naomasa at the Battle of Sekigahara.
It is an early type of armor where the horned crest is not fixed to the helmet, designed for ease of movement.
It references the “Red Lacquered Two-Piece Armor” held by Hikone Castle Museum.

Armor reinforced with vermilion coated(Shuurushi) stood out on the battlefield, making its deliberate use a testament to martial prowess.
Naomasa, who had been granted the former retainers of the Takeda clan—once feared as the strongest in the Warring States period—was permitted to arm himself with the red-lacquered weapons that also symbolized Shingen's strength.
This marked the beginning of the lineage of the Ii clan's red-lacquered armor, later feared as the “Red Demon of Ii.”
Naomasa raced through his short 42-year life like a whirlwind. Enjoy this dynamic equestrian statue, evoking his very spirit.

Polystone is a compound made up largely of polyurethane resin mixed with powdered stone additives that give it added weight and the porcelain or "stone-like" feel that results in the materials' name itself.

	Helmet The distinct and strongly colored helmet is accentuated with deer antlers that have been reproduced as close to the realthing as possible. Facial "Expression" Working with a head part a width of less than 10mm, our craftsmen have created a facial expression using skilled coloring techniques. Particularly, we trained our artisans to carefully paint each.
	The helmet and sleeves are painted in a red color that results in a metallic look. The gauntlet and the mesh of the chain have also been authentically replicated. Every individual in this series has been meticulously painted to give it that grimy realistic "battlefield" look

We've received a fair amount of inquiries and requests for Beherit products. Art of War therefore decided to create a new version of Beherit when developing silver accessories.

This stylish Beherit silver pendant is handcrafted by skilled artisans in Japan. Every detail has been well represented, such as Beherit's eyes, nose and lips. We carefully polished and oxidized the surface of the Beherit to bring out its luster. You will be surprised at how full of life this Beherit is.

In addition, we added gold and other colors to give the metal fitting delicate effects. And we chose to use natural jade beads to emphasize the delicate features. The brown jade stones match the silver Beherit, and the length is adjustable. It is not only a fashion item for men but also for women.

Our artisans devote a lot of time to make every pendant. We believe all the details will allow you to enjoy different images of Beherit.

Griffith Ring is the first project of our silver ring series.
We spend enormous amount of time revising the design because we wanted to make the shape of Griffith's helmet as beautiful as it can be.
You will be surprised at the helmet with a moveable visor and the detail of Griffith's face sculpt.
Every feature and every detail has been well represented, such as Griffith's eyes, chin, neck, and even hair.
This Griffith Ring is not only a silver accessory but also a brilliant work of art.
Additionally, this ring is carefully polished and engraved with the symbol of the Band of the Hawk and a serial number.

A fine black ring case is attached.
As one of fantastic Berserk collections, you can also display this ring with other statues together.

We have newly released the gold necklaces featurig Puck, one of the very popular characters from Berserk.
The necklaces are available in two versions - one is Fairy Puck known to the Spirit of the Wind, and the other is a very funny and cute figure of Kuri Puck.
Carefully selected zirconia has been placed between the chain and the pendant, and different colors have been used - ruby for Fairy Puck and emerald for Kuri Puck.

The highly popular “Brand of Sacrifice” marking has been also incorporated as a decorative piece to the clasp.
The necklace has a refreshing look.
If the strap is positioned at the end of the “Brand of Sacrifice” piece, the 45cm length of the pendant can be increased by 5cm, so you can use the necklace in two different lengths.

The pendant top reproduces Puck’s feathers, toes, and hair in intricate detail.
This has only been made possible through the skilled craftsmanship of Japanese jewelry artisans.

Berserk - Dragon Slayer Silver Nacklace

The Dragon Slayer is too large to be called a sword...

Guts always carries the Dragon Slayer during his journey; it is a symbol of the "Black Swordsman". In order to make Berserk fans able to take the Dragon Slayer wherever they go, we created the Dragon Slayer silver necklace.

This necklace is handcrafted by skilled artisans in Japan. Every detail has been well represented. For instance, the handle's leather wrapping and the metal fastening ring are made in great detail. In addition, we carefully polished and oxidized the surface of the sword to give it a realistic metallic look. The fantastic imagery is just like we see it in the manga.

We chose to use a deer hide leather cord to emphasize the outstanding design, and the length is adjustable. This stylish necklace is not only for men but also for women. Any Berserk fan would be ecstatic to receive this as a gift.

Berserk Statue - Skull Knight 2025

After 10 years since its release in 2015, “Skull Knight 2025” is now available in white skeleton version.

The 2015 model was painted in dark metallic color, but this time, in response to many requests from customers, the white skeleton model has been realized with a Qliphoth base.

Highlights of the Skull Knight 2025 Statue.

The Skull Knight is just standing quietly.
Even in a static pose, the viewer does not feel bored because of the exquisite combination with the cape that moves organically.
One of the features of ART OF WAR products is the ability to reproduce the texture, fluidity, exquisite thickness, and stability of the cloth even while using polystone.

Realistic cracks are drawn on the hand armor, neck and legs of the Skull Knight who stands calmly,
and complex expressions are incorporated throughout to avoid monotonous expressions.

The cracks radiating from the center of the shield are also drawn by hand, one by one, with an ultra-fine brush by skilled craftsmen.
The coloring of the shields is also unique, and appears to vary in hue depending on the angle and reflection of the light.

When you stand in front of the Skull Knight, and look into his face from below,you will feel as if he is quietly seeing through you all the way.
With the optional red crystal eye, he will look at you with a keen eye.

The base, which represents the realm of Qliphoth, features faces and gazes of the creatures that live there, and is elaborately detailed.
The miniature figure of Qliphoth's resident is included as an accessory.

A Memorial Work Dedicated to Mr. Kentarou Miura

ART OF WAR, having developed a deep connection with the late Kentarou Miura through years of producing Berserk sculptures. 

We have had the great privilege of sharing his vision of the world through a variety of conversation and discussion not only about Berserk itself but also about the films, books and experiences that createdhis world as well as his in-depth knowledge of armor and costume.

After his unexpected passing, driven by a desire to honor his legacy and to express our gratitude for the time we spent with him, we released Guts Requiem in 2022.

Guts Requiem channeled Miura’s essence through Guts, the protagonist, capturing a serene expression that mirrored Miura himself – calm on the surface yet holding an inner, unexpressed passion that embodied his intense spirit and unwavering dedication to his craft.

■ A Two-Part Homage 

However, it was one of two parts, and with this work, Guts Requiem Kai, the memorial work comes to a conclusion. 

The first Guts Requiem depicted Guts in his human form, symbolizing “stillness”. In contrast, Guts Requiem Kai portrays Guts in his armor-clad “Berserker” form, representing “movement.” 

The creation of this work took over a year, building upon its predecessor but incorporating extensive modifications to enhance both detail and power. Every aspect of the sculpture was carefully refined, from the positioning of the wrists and ankles to the overall composition. Special focus was placed on capturing the Berserker armor’s fierce, mechanical essence, conveying a sense of row power and a near absence of conscious will, setting it apart from Guts Requiem. 

Photographing this work was one of the most difficult in recent year, as it is difficult for a two-dimensional image to convey the volume of information, intricate form, presence, and image of a three-dimensional work of art. 

If you actually see it, you will be amazed at the highest level of perfection ever achieved. We hope that you will experience it for yourself.

■ Realistic Proportions and Detail

In pursuit of enhanced realism, we carefully balanced the sculpture’s proportions. The torso and limbs were designed to fit snugly within the armor, accentuating muscular definition, while the head was slightly enlarged to reflect the natural limits of the skull. This meticulous attention to detail results in a piece that is both strikingly realistic and powerfully dynamic. 

The Senma Soldier was also created based on a thorough study of actual medieval costumes and the coloring was also done in reference to the existing costumes of the time. The Senma soldier alone is a high-level work of art that can only be produced by ART OF WAR. 

■ Dedication to Detail 

Our unwavering commitment to precision in every detail reflects our deep respect for Kentarou Miura and a desire to create a piece that would honor his vision. This dedication underscores our company’s ongoing mission to bring the world of Berserk to life in a way that truly honors its legendary creator. 

We are more than happy that Mr. Miura was pleased to mention our company's name (Kenshin Co., Ltd.) in his interview at the Great Berserk Exhibition.

We have been creating statues as a professional sculptor, focusing on the reality of the three-dimentional representation of Berserk, which is different from the manga, and we believe that this will bring the world of Berserk to life and pay homage to the Berserk itself as depicted by Mr. Miura.

ZODD REVELATIONS（啓示）2025

This work is a seated statue of the character “Zodd” from the Japanese manga and anime series “Berserk,” which boasts worldwide popularity and has sold over 50 million copies globally.
The first edition was released in 2007 as “ZODD REVELATIONS” and was reissued in 2015.
In response to strong demand from ART OF WAR and Berserk fans, ART OF WAR has decided to reissue this work after a decade.
The coloring is also the three-dimensional blood painting that was in many requests.
The new edition features improved coloring compared to the previous reissue and will be available as a special edition with a mini-statue of “Irvine on the Roof” included, limited 45 pieces worldwide.

This work portrays Zodd’s torment as an absolute being who seeks battle with a worthy opponent but remains unsatisfied.
Despite his overwhelmingly powerful physique, his back carries a hint of melancholy.
The seated figure is an important scene that heralds a major turning point in the story, in which the solitary warrior Zodd, revered as the god of war in the “Revelation” chapter of Berserk, has one of his horns knocked off by “Griffith” at dusk on the battlefield, caught between dream and reality.

Zodd’s demonic appearance is reminiscent of the Japanese Buddhist art form known as Fudo Myoo.

Since its founding, ART OF WAR has been researching and studying Japanese art, and in addition to producing armor and costumes, it has also been developing Buddhist art.
The experience of creating the Fudo Myoo statue was utilized in the development of this work to expresses Zodd’s inhuman terror and aloof warrior spirit.
Fudo Myoo holds a sword in his right hand and strikes fear into those who behold him with his wrathful expression.
The overwhelming power and awe-inspiring charm of Fudo Myoo are not unlike those of Zodd.
The charm of Fudo Myoo was projected onto Zodd, creating a figure that is feared as a god of war.
Zodd boasts overwhelming strength beyond human comprehension.

The statue also captures the inner torment of an absolute being, all within a single piece.

It is not just a character statue, but an art piece that expresses the character’s spirituality.

Since the this mold itself will be destroyed after this production run, there will be no future re-sales at "ZODD REVELATIONS" and "Irvine" of Polystone statues.

For the first time ever, we have created a vivid facial expression for our Beherit models focusing on a surface texture that results in a dirt-look finish of an unprecedented scale.

Our skilled artisans meticulously paint every fully hand-crafted Beherit, turning out a color finish only made possible by KENSIN’s Art of War craftspeople. The three-dimensional facial features make these Beherit models seem alive in every detail.

Our product launches this time are the previously offered The Eclipse and The Egg of King and, new-to-market, the popular Beherit version, The Egg of King Open Eyes.

Despite it only being four centimetres in height, we have succeeded in applying our finest art techniques to add a mystic sparkle into the Beherit’s blue eyes. We have created a product that you will never tire of!

SAMURAI Warrior Sculpture Statue - SANADA YUKIMURA  1/4 scale

Sanada Yukimura was a samurai warrior of the Sengoku Period and was well known as the leading general on the defending side during the Summer Campaign of the Siege of Osaka.
Sanada lived by his beliefs and was loyal to Toyotomi Hideyoshi. Sanada decisively outfought the overwhelming massive army of Tokugawa and therefore distinguished himself as a renowned military commander.
Sanada was known all over Japan as its “best soldier” and was admired, even by his enemies, for his fighting style that encompassed wisdom and bravery. Whilst he lost the battle, he fought to the end with a deep obligation and royalty, and was thus honored as "the paragon of all warriors".

We commissioned the late Mr. Hiromichi Miura, an advisor to The Association for the Research and Preservation of Japanese Helmets and Armor at that time, to research the details of armor used by Yukimura Sanada, a Japanese samurai warrior of the Sengoku period.

This resulted in our being able to manufacture a historically accurate and faithful polystone reproduction of Sanada.
Sanada is shown, not in a typical warrior’s fighting pose, but as sitting calmly and resting after the fatigue of battle.

Historical fact shows Sanada was suffering from exhaustion at the end of his life. Sitting and holding on to the cross-shaped spear to the very end, Sanada‘s striking pose represents the spirit of this famous warrior about to die in the way of the samurai.
After conducting extensive research on the Sengoku period, Art of War® is proud to present this statue of Yukimura Sanada.
This original pose is our interpretation of how he expressed his last moments of life.
Yukimura Sanada was reputed to be the strongest warrior in the Sengoku period.
He defeated Tokugawa’s large contingent in Osaka Castle and greatly enhanced his own reputation among the warriors of the day.

In the Summer Siege of Osaka Castle, Sanada set up his army at Chasu-yama and attacked Tokugawa’s army bravely without any fear of death.
However, after several fierce battles, he was wounded and exhausted, and was finally killed by Echizen troops in Yasui-Jinjya near Chasu-yama.
According to literature, the image of Sanada is of a very delicate and quiet person, and he was known as being the wisest in the Sanada family.
Instead of the brave warrior, we have depicted him as a tired general who is facing his last moment quietly.

Hotokedou Gusoku (Seamless body armor) - Sanada Yukimura Armor

It is said that Hotokedou Gusoku, or seamless body armor, originally comes from the smooth and seamless breasts of Buddha statues.

It was often used in the Sengoku period as an actual type of body armor, because it was easy to deflect bullets and spears.
The costume has been reproduced based on existing materials at the Sanada An, a temple built in the residence of Sanada clan, and also on armor belonging to the Takeda clan who Sanada also served.
We have added original decorative elements to reflect the high importance of SANADA Yukimura.

Molding The production of a statue is much more advanced and complicated than making something in two-dimension. The reproduction work needed, such as precise assembly, finish and painting is much, and requires excellent techniques and a lot of time. Every Sanada red helmet is finished by a craftsman’s own hand. The production requires plenty of time and of course the expert techniques of the craftsmen in our factory. The historical research about the armor is done properly and helps to create an accurate and authentic sculpture. With all the techniques and skills used to reproduce this item, the final result is a work of art that is highly valuable, rare and unique.

Painting Sanada’s armour is well-known for using an original red color in the Akazonae, the military unit associated with him. Japanese craftsmen demonstrate their advanced painting techniques in the red color finish, which is a combination of various color tones and textures. It takes more than 40 hours to produce a single statue.

Artist-Unnou Souhaku

Born in 1962.

Since 1990,
He started to research and focus on the production of the original armors creation, helmets, kimono, own production of lacquerware from the time of “Azuchi Momoyama Period” and “Sengoku Period” of Japan.

In 1997,
Unnou Souhaku requested “Mr. Hiromichi Miura”, to develop the 1/4 scale real armor of “Samurai Warrior – Oda Nobunaga”, who is the only person associated with the preservation of Japanese helmets and armor in Japan.

Continuosly, there was development of other real armors of 1/4 scale of Samurai Warriors of “Sanada Yukimura” & “Uesugi Kensin”.
Under the watchful eye of artist and creative producer, Unno Souhaku, many professionals engaged in developing high accolades for its authentic reproduction of Sengoku period statues based on historical documents from the time.
The final result is a product made of the highest quality.

SAMURAI Warrior Sculpture Statue - DATE MASAMUNE  1/4 scale

Date Masamune was a legendary samurai warrior and leader. Date Masamune was solidified in the battle since his early young age. In the late Sengoku Period, Date Masamune was comet in the north east part of Japan.

Masamune, who is also regarded as role model of the Oda Nobunaga, was caught in an old tradition and delayed integration fearlessly louver. He became the head of the family, then he continued his challenge in the battle and in a very short period of time he was able to be the top leader in the prefecture.

At the early age of 18, Date Masamune became the successful daimyo and was Noshiagari in Oshu largest feudal lords. Date Masamune for the most part served the Tokugawa and Toyotomi loyalty. He took part in Osaka campaigns, (the summer
campaign of the siege of Osaka) and contributed to the victory, we continue to maintain without disturbing the camp in a state of confusion.

The artist, Unnou Souhaku, carefully researched about the armor costumes with the collection of materials available in the Sendai city.
Every details of the armor is carefully designed and the concept of the warriors has been reflected in its production.

According to the history, Date Masamune is known to be one-eyed person and his nickname is one-eye man, “Dokuganryu”.
This nickname implies “the one-eyed dragon.”
Therefore, our artisans carefully tried to develop the product based on the history information of the warrior.

Texture Reproduction

In producing a single statue, giving a texture to each part is quite difficult.
The armor consists of different materials like leather, iron, , cloth, lacquer and so on.
Therefore, in order to bring the texture of those materials in polystone material, artisans carefully use their hand techniques. With the additional of texture to each of the product, it looks more real and shiny.

Crescent Moon

This is the helmet (kabuto) ornament of Date Masamune "crescent moon", the only gold ornament of black-lacquered armor. A sharp shape of the ornament symbolizes Date Masamune himself, Shrewd Daimyo who was called as "One-eyed Dragon".
A gold leaf has been plated in the “crescent moon” shaped ornament by the artisans and help to bring glow to the statue.

Our artisans demonstrate their advance painting techniques while using the gold leaf in different parts of the statue.

This product was once out of production, but due to customer requests for its return, we worked with our accessory workshop to make it happen.

This stylish Beherit beryllium copper chain necklace is handcrafted by skilled artisans in Japan.
Every detail has been well represented, such as Beherit's eyes, nose and lips.
We carefully polished and oxidized the surface of the Beherit to bring out its luster.
You will be surprised at how full of life this Beherit is.

In addition, we added end parts (stigma) of the brand and chain with brass (silver-plated) and other colors to give the metal fitting delicate effects. And this time, we chose to use brass (silver plated) chain to emphasize the delicate features.
This chain matches the copper Beherit. This necklace has significant weight and a comfortable, casual wearing feel.
The length of the necklace (can be) adjustable. Either worn individually or with other accessories, this Beherit necklace is a fabulous fashion item.

Using world’s highest level of technology and casting technique, Japanese craftsmen created this Skull Knight Bust.

And this is the first fully metal statue.

Until now, metal has only been used for accessories, but we have long been developing

the product with the hope of applying this outstanding Japanese craftsmanship to statue as well.

The complex shapes, such as protrusions and thin spikes, were very difficult to produce

in metal, so we went through a number of trial and error processes.

In order to reproduce the prototype to the smallest detail, the casting method is particularly important, and under the skilled

craftsmen’s technique, a wide range of new attempts were made during the development.

The fact that we were able to establish innovative techniques never before seen in the production of this work and reproduce the prototype so faithfully

 in detail is the result of the skill and enthusiasm of Japanese craftsmen that cannot be imitated by any other company.

The body part of Skull Knight is made of pewter (tin alloy), which has been used since ancient times.

Compared to silver, pewter is less susceptible to deterioration due to oxidation, and has a unique and tasteful metallic expression.

The cape part is not polished, leaving unique roughness of the metal to express its texture.

The spikes on the shoulders and neck are cast in parts and then soldered one by one.

Thanks to the skill of Japanese craftsmen, you can hardly recognize the adhesion marks even when you look at it up closely.

You can enjoy a different texture by polishing it with silver polish.

The head is made of 925 silver and can be removed from the body and enjoy as a ring.

(*Because of the sharp edges, please do not use it as a normal accessory, but enjoy it indoors as an ornament.)

The tarnishing caused by oxidation is also a beautiful feature, so you can enjoy the aging process or polish it to enjoy the delicate texture of the silver material.

By separating the materials of the body and the head, the two materials are made to complement each other.  A rose is engraved on the back.

ガッツ 大砲斬り2024（Guts TAIHOGIRI ）

Guts ”Cannon Slice", in which he wields his sword Dragon Slayer as a reaction to the cannon fire, reminds us of the "Fantasia Arc begins: Elf Island Chapter" of Berserk Volume 35.

As its mold will be discarded after the production completes, this will be your last chance to get your hands on Guts the Spinning Cannon Slice.

Although the statue has hardly been re-released since its first release in 2016, it has been highly acclaimed and there have been many requests for re-release, so we have created a brushed-up version and will be taking orders for a limited edition of 50 pieces.

The dynamic modeling of the tentacles extending out from the base was the first attempt among our many Berserk products at the time.

The large tentacles flailing about on the base convey the power of the spinning slash

in a more realistic manner.

The armor, eyes, and coloring of Guts can be viewed from any direction in a 360°

angle, allowing the viewer to feel the dynamic "movement" of Guts as one with the diorama. Guts' powerful footsteps and fluttering cape show his momentum.

As the name "Cannon Slice" implies, the prosthetic hand (cannon) extending from Gut's left arm has been sculpted down to the gimmick and mechanism.

Based on our experience in elaborately reproducing the prosthetic cannon, we put special emphasis on the "cannon", which is the theme of this statue, even though it is small in scale.

For the two tentacle monsters lying on the base, we spent as much time as it would have taken to create one new statue at the time, and we thoroughly and realistically reproduced the pupils, mouth, and other details. The wounds are vividly opened, and an creepy-colored liquid flows from the wounds, allowing you to feel the immediate aftermath of the slash.

Guts' face has been sculpted as it was when it was first released;

ART OF WAR's Guts is not sculpted exactly as it is in the manga, but rather

is created with the assumption that Guts exists in real life, and that he is three-dimensional and realistic.

ガッツ 大砲斬り2024（Guts TAIHOGIRI ）

Guts ”Cannon Slice", in which he wields his sword Dragon Slayer as a reaction to the cannon fire, reminds us of the "Fantasia Arc begins: Elf Island Chapter" of Berserk Volume 35.

As its mold will be discarded after the production completes, this will be your last chance to get your hands on Guts the Spinning Cannon Slice.

Although the statue has hardly been re-released since its first release in 2016, it has been highly acclaimed and there have been many requests for re-release, so we have created a brushed-up version and will be taking orders for a limited edition of 50 pieces.

The dynamic modeling of the tentacles extending out from the base was the first attempt among our many Berserk products at the time.

The large tentacles flailing about on the base convey the power of the spinning slash

in a more realistic manner.

The armor, eyes, and coloring of Guts can be viewed from any direction in a 360°

angle, allowing the viewer to feel the dynamic "movement" of Guts as one with the diorama. Guts' powerful footsteps and fluttering cape show his momentum.

As the name "Cannon Slice" implies, the prosthetic hand (cannon) extending from Gut's left arm has been sculpted down to the gimmick and mechanism.

Based on our experience in elaborately reproducing the prosthetic cannon, we put special emphasis on the "cannon", which is the theme of this statue, even though it is small in scale.

For the two tentacle monsters lying on the base, we spent as much time as it would have taken to create one new statue at the time, and we thoroughly and realistically reproduced the pupils, mouth, and other details. The wounds are vividly opened, and an creepy-colored liquid flows from the wounds, allowing you to feel the immediate aftermath of the slash.

Guts' face has been sculpted as it was when it was first released;

ART OF WAR's Guts is not sculpted exactly as it is in the manga, but rather

is created with the assumption that Guts exists in real life, and that he is three-dimensional and realistic.

Art of War therefore decided to create a new version of Beherit when developing silver accessories.
This stylish Beherit silver necklace is handcrafted by skilled artisans in Japan.
Every detail has been well represented, such as Beherit's eyes, nose and lips.

We carefully polished and oxidized the surface of the Beherit to bring out its luster. You will be surprised at how full of life this Beherit is.
In addition, we added brass (silver) and other colors to give the metal fitting delicate effects.
And this time, we chose to use silver chain to emphasize the delicate features.

The silver chain match the silver Beherit.

 Samurai Helmet - "Nanban Kabuto" - ODA NOBUNAGA  1/2 scale

Japanese craftsmen recreate helmets from the Warring States period for the modern age

This product is named [Nanban Kabuto], it is recreated from the helmet which Oda Nobunaga used in Senkoku period.
This kind of Helmet is a combination of both European and Japanese style. It was a very advanced design at that time.
This is a totally handmade item. To recreate this kabuto, the artisans need several weeks.
To express the tension and grace, artisans will beat the iron many times and finally make it into a perfect shape.
And to paint the helmet, we need to repeat the painting steps over 10 times.
In addition, by baking lacquer several times, the black color becomes deep and natural on the helmet.

During the Warring States period, armor was not merely protective gear for Japanese daimyo and military commanders,
but also an important symbol of their identity.
Japanese armor in particular was crafted with a level of skill unmatched by any other country, and today it is
highly regarded internationally as a form of art and craftsmanship.
Recently, due to the influence of the Hollywood drama “SHOGUN,” it has also garnered attention from overseas.
This is because the armor of the Warring States period in Japan was not only unique to each warrior, featuring distinctive helmets and vibrant lacquered colors,
but also included decorative elements such as silk thread ornaments called “odoshi” and the use of deer leather,
making it an outstanding example of comprehensive artistic craftsmanship.

Beautiful Japanese historical architecture "Kaminari-mon"

This is a historic gate where samurai warriors offered their prayers.

1. Product Description
The Kaminari-mon Gate ("thunder gate"), standing at the entrance to the professional and road leading to Senso-ji, is Asakusa's most famous landmark.
Inside the gate either side are enormous wooden statues of the protective Buddhist deities Fujin(wind god) and Raijin (thunder god), from which the gate gets its name.
The original gate was erected in 942 by the “Taira no Kinmasa”, a military commander, but burned down several times over the centuries.
It was originally located near Komagata, but it was reconstructed in its current location in 1635.
This is made with the image of the "Thunder Gate" of "Asakusa, Japan", which was built in 1960, donated by Japanese entrepreneur, Konoshuke Matushita (1984-1989).

This thunder gate was famous among many people in the ancient time also.
The “Asakusa Kannon Temple- the Thunder Gate” has become a familiar gate among many tourists visiting Japan.
It has become a symbol of Tokyo (Japan).

2. About the artist Name: Unnou Souhaku (海野 宗伯）
Born in 1962. In 1997, Unnnou Souhaku established a group of professionals engaged in developing three dimensional models.
The group has received especially high accolades for its authentic reproduction of Sengoku Period statues based on historical documents from the time.
Unnou's products, including original armors, helmets, and Buddhist statues, reflect the best of Japanese art and are well- received all over the world.
Under the watchful eye of artist and creative producer, Unno Souhaku, the ten or more artists working for KENSIN Kobo Studio, each expertly work on different product manufacturing tasks such as molding, assembly, finishing and painting.
The final result is a product made of the highest quality.

	Front Side   The great Japanese entrepreneur, Konoshuke Matsuhita donated in building this“Kaminarimon” and “large lantern”. During his illness, he had visited Asakusa Kannon Temple and prayed for his recovery.
	Fujin / Raijin "The thunder gate" is beautifully reproduced   The Kaminarimon consists of the two protective Buddhist deities Fujin (wind god) and Raijin (thunder god), where these two deities helps in removing the storm and flood damage, brings peaceful and tranquil to the society. Also, these two protective deities are carefully reproduced and painting is done with the combination of various color tones and textures.
	Back Side   The original name of the street called "The thunder gate of wind god", which is written still in the lantern of the back side. Nowadays, it is called as “Kaminarimon” (which is written in the front side). The front side of the gate, has the protective Buddhist deities Fujin (wind god) and Raijin (thunder god) and in the back side, “Tenryuzou” and “Kinryuzou” which is precisely reproduced.
	Dragon God Sculpture There is a secret hidden in the red lanterns of Kaminarimon Gate. When you look at the lanterns from below, you can see intricate carvings of dragon gods. This product also reproduces this detail. The reason why dragon gods are carved on the lanterns of Kaminarimon Gate is said to be based on an anecdote from “Asakusa Temple Engi. The legend tells of a day when the Bodhisattva Kannon appeared, and overnight, a thousand pine trees sprouted in the area. Three days later, a dragon with golden scales appeared in the pine forest from the heavens.
	Leaf Pasting Process The gold leaf is used for the gold decoration part. The painting looks more amazing with the addition of gold leaf.
	The reproduction of Kaminarimon is done with the composition of more than 200 parts. All the parts are created by molding it. All the molded parts are polished, painted and beautifully assembled for the delivery.

Artist-Unnou Souhaku

Born in 1962.

Since 1990,
He started to research and focus on the production of the original armors creation, helmets, kimono, own production of lacquerware from the time of “Azuchi Momoyama Period” and “Sengoku Period” of Japan.

In 1997,
Unnou Souhaku requested “Mr. Hiromichi Miura”, to develop the 1/4 scale real armor of “Samurai Warrior – Oda Nobunaga”, who is the only person associated with the preservation of Japanese helmets and armor in Japan.

Continuosly, there was development of other real armors of 1/4 scale of Samurai Warriors of “Sanada Yukimura” & “Uesugi Kensin”.
Under the watchful eye of artist and creative producer, Unno Souhaku, many professionals engaged in developing high accolades for its authentic reproduction of Sengoku period statues based on historical documents from the time.
The final result is a product made of the highest quality.
